About Kathy
Kathy grew up in Montana and then made Seattle her home until deciding it was time to come back to rural living.
Kathy graduated from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2013 and is licensed to practice law in both Montana and North Dakota. She began her career as a public defense attorney in North Dakota and currently focuses on criminal and family law as well as additional areas of civil practice.
Kathy is honored to be a current participant in the Montana Legal Services Association (MTLSA) Rural Incubator Project for Lawyers (RIPL). RIPL seeks to enhance access to justice for moderate to low-income Montanans. Kathy is committed to making legal representation affordable for a greater number of families and individuals.

Limited scope representation is a way to possibly afford legal help by limiting the work an attorney does for you. In a limited scope arrangement, the attorney and client agree that the attorney will only do certain legal tasks for the client. The remainder of the tasks and responsibilities in a case are the sole responsibility of the client. Limited scope representation is not the right choice for every situation and some legal matters are best served by having attorney representation throughout the entire matter.
